0-20: Starved
You are starving for fulfillment of basic relationship and may be feeling great pain, rage or distance. You may be planning separation or divorce. You need to learn how to identify and resolve your half of the barriers to intimacy. Consider the PAIRS program or other assistance to learn new skills and attitudes. No one should have this little joy and pleasure. You need to learn why things are this empty for you and how to change it!

21-40: Enduring
Many people stay in relationships with such low pleasure and satisfaction. We do this because we do not have the skills or knowledge to make things better, yet we do not want to be alone. Despite times of keen disappointment, hurt, anger or withdrawal, we feel there is still hope. We may be secretly planning our escape (divorce) when times are more advantageous. Many do not want to throw away their investment in time and energy. Your partner is surely feeling dissatisfied too. You may not realize that relationship skills can be learned. Discuss seeking couple help and/or training to build what you have started into what you really want. PAIRS would be your answer now, before it gets worse. Get help for yourself if your partner is not ready for this now.

41-60: MUDDLING THROUGH
You report an average amount of pleasure and satisfaction in your relationship. The quality of your relationship is sometimes quite pleasing and sometimes rather frustrating or annoying. Likely the good parts outweigh the bad. You may feel that your relationship is stalled, bogged down with duties and responsibilities. You may feel that there is potential for much more satisfaction and happiness, but that neither of you risks reaching for it. You may feel that the dream has dulled and the feelings are muted. PAIRS and related training and enrichment programs are fun and exciting, and teach skills you can use to make your relationship into what you want. Why accept the default setting? Untended relationships wither. Skillfully tended ones grow and flourish.

61-80: SATISFIED
You and your partner are frequently practicing consideration, closeness, touch, pleasuring, open emotional exchanges and personal responsibility in your relationship. You are getting most of your relationship needs met on a fairly regular basis and you sometimes feel strong love and appreciation toward your partner. There may be areas of dissatisfaction and/or times of stress when your needs go unmet. It is important to understand relationship maintenance and how to keep and build upon what you have. Satisfied couples enjoy the deep enrichment and joyous pleasures that come from focusing with each other in PAIRS seminars on how to make things even better. A fourth dimension of love and pleasure can be opened in your lives.

81-100: THRILLED
Congratulations! You have either just met or you and your partner have learned how to make your relationship truly burn with a bright flame. You are invited to join us in teaching PAIRS. What you have generated is too special not to share it with others who often live lives of quiet desperation, loneliness and lack of fulfillment. You have learned to balance life's dutiful responsibilities with pleasure, confiding, self-fulfillment and devotion. We would love to talk to you about how you work to maintain these highest levels of satisfaction and pleasure in your relationship.
